It is the year 2121.
Since the discovery of anti-gravity few years earlier there has been a multitude of
fundamental inventions and commercial gimmicks employing the new technology.
Such as hovering bicycles, floating boats, super-light anvils and of course the flying lighthouses.

But last night it all stopped to float and started to go down the drain. It seems that
there was a some sort of glitch in the hovering systems in one of
the MacDonald's MacLightweight restaurants.
It crashed at 200 miles per hour right into the core of the
world's second largest nuclear power plant creating a massive
explosion. A global killer, they said.

I estimated that I have approximately two hours, give or take an hour,
before the effects reach me. So I'll just lean back and enjoy the scenery.
I guess anybody not wearing 2 million sunblock is gonna have a real bad day today.

This is lighthouse keeper Sam. Over and out.

I wanted to do something I haven't done before. So this came out. And was it worth the effort? No.

EDIT:
Due to public demand I fixed bits and pieces here and there. Reduced noise and so on... It's almost complete now. ;)

Daily DeviationWhat would the world be like if we developed some sort of anti-gravity thingamajig? The Last Outpost by ~Sambadi is a neat look into the future where such anti-gravity exists. Don’t worry about ships accidentally going into this lighthouse! (Suggested by =detail24 and Featured by `halfliquid)

hmmm, perhaps a little to bombastic. Due to the overdone of colours there isnt a center of attention.
Perhaps you could improve this piece by bringing in more greytone-colours in the background?

very neat. Water look a tiny bit too shiney and needs blending into the rest of the picture. overall though, a very nicely executed design.
